Well if to you innovation is the next consecutive number, or changing the jump button from "A" to "X".... Then you sir are part of the problem. The main thing he is hitting upon is taking risks and pushing the boundaries of what is expected. But if a new control configuration is all you expect, then that is all you will get. And then we all suffer.

Well, I am out of bubbles. I guess you only have one more chance to reply too. I lost mine arguing the pros/...

I was trying to not call out franchises, but here we go. COD, Battlefield, Halo, Gear of War, Crysis, Mass Effect.... and so on. I have played and enjoyed some of these, and I hate others. But the fact remains the same as I said. We as consumers don't reward innovation. We like comfort.

Gears one broke new ground, but what did it do for us in the other two iterations? The same goes with Halo, and all the COD/Battlefield games. Multiplayer and online gaming innovation, and...

If the gamers demanded quality, and innovation we would see more of it. But if you can churn out sequels and everybody buys them, then what is the risk / reward of trying something new?

As consumers we say one thing, and do another. As long as that dichotomy exists so will mediocrity.

I guess I am confused.... Why would I want to undo my perks, and re-level them? This sounds like a "fake" level cap release. Wouldn't that kind of nerf my level 60 character? Now I can fight and kill strong enemies, but forget about creating good armor anymore? What am I missing?

I would love to see a port over to the consoles so I could play this again. This game and Flashback were two of my favorite ones from back in that day. I remember playing them both on my Sega CD.

I have ALWAYS hated Boss battles. And no, it is not because I suck. I just think they feel forced, and contrived. When I make it through a game without them, I only realize at the end how much I didn't miss them.

Ohh look, a glowing yellow spot (what do I do?)... Oh crap, I just walked into a round room with only one door (whats going to happen?)... Is it environmental, or is it a shoot fest? I can care less.

Besides the abysmal "Alice in wonderland" games, I couldn't name (without googling) any thing he has done. Let alone anything I would take his opinion on new hardware about.

I want more tombs, and less shooting people. It struck me funny that in a game named tomb raider, they called the actual tombs "optional".

I 100% agree. Most games are too predictable, and whats with the glowing weak points? I thought that crap from Japanese games should have died in the 90's. The last game that truly made me jump was the first Dead Space when the tentacle first shot out and grabbed you. It was totally without warning. I love that kind of stuff.

It is kind of like a game version of the tv show "Person of Interest". I love the show, I should like the game too. It looks good so far.

I LOVED Rise of the Dragon. I would buy it now if it was available.

I think so.

For instance. I actually like Aliens: CM. I not only was not let down because I didn't watch or read all the crap about it during the last 2 years. I just waited for it to come out.

I still don't know what I am missing, and I think it is a good thing because I have one more game I can enjoy in my library.

Split Second.

It is my favorite arcade racer.

I hated Fallons teenage girl screams, and lack of ability to pick up an FPS and make it somewhat function. He sucks.

I would love to get to play SS 2 again. My gaming pc died, and I have not ever replaced it. I rely on my consoles. It would be great to have an HD version ported over without any changes. I would pay TOP dollar for it. That was my favorite game of all time!

Andy I guess since it is your preference it must be the best and only one. With that same logic, FPS games should only be a reticule. But hey, to each his own. I don't care what other pro drives prefer, or "experts" I just know that when I am sitting down and playing on my HDTV, and not in real life, I really enjoy the cockpit view. That in and of itself does NOT define my racing prowess, or experience.... It is just MY preference. I find it funny that people have to cite stats,...

...."Anyone who drives knows you do not register the interior of your car, esp while racing, it's all about the view of the road. Your mind blurs out the wheel etc...."

And thats why cockpit view is more realistic. It lets your mind blur out the interior and focus on the road, just like in a car in real life. Your argument makes no sense. I in fact race on weekends, and I have never raced from the front of bumper with only the road in front of me. I don't kn...

No cockpit view? What is this 1998?... I loved Grid 1, but this will be unacceptable. Without in-car views, it might as well be Need for Speed or Burnout. I think I'll be passing on this one. Too bad too, I was really looking forward to it.

Being only 2 hours into the game I love it so far. The game score is the MVP though. Cranking it through my system brings chills, and heart pumping tension to new heights. The game may or may not deliver through the long haul, but the music is king! But, so for it delivers exactly what I expect.
